Our Team
Andrea Badri
Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist
I’m a clinician with experience working with individuals and couples navigating relationship challenges, mental health, trauma, and addictions. I have completed a graduate certificate in Addictions and Mental Health from Humber College and my Master’s of Social Work from Wilfred Laurier University.
My therapeutic approach is flexible, collaborative, and holistic. I adapt my interventions based on your goals and the concerns that bring you to therapy, ensuring our work together meets your individual or couple's needs. I also take a holistic, client-centred approach to therapy that recognizes the connection between emotional, physical, social, spiritual, and environmental well-being. Rather than focusing on a single issue in isolation, I work collaboratively with clients to understand the broader context of their lives and develop strategies that support lasting, meaningful change. I have training in CBT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Solution-Focused, Narrative, Emotionally-Focused, and Family & Couples work. I draw purpose from helping people navigate the difficult parts of life. I’m also passionate about community work and you may find me doing drop-in counselling sessions in high schools across Durham where I’ll help youth with family issues, navigate difficult relationships, and academic concerns.
Outside of the office you’ll find me walking with my dogs, reading a lot of books, working out, and enjoying a good coffee or iced matcha.
