OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

I have worked in the Durham Region as a registered occupational therapist since 2005. My approach revolves around collaborating to identify and work towards fulfilling each person’s unique needs and goals. My education and training are focused on psychotherapy, psychology, health, wellbeing and occupational therapy. I earned my degrees from the University of Western Ontario. I have worked with individuals of all ages, including those who have experienced workplace injuries and various traumatic injuries.
I also provide occupational therapy-specific services to children, teens, and young adults, catering to your functional goals and desired life participation. This includes day-to-day functioning, context-specific participation (e.g., home, work or school), and finding meaning and balance. I offer fine motor and sensory-specific assessments and interventions. I am a neuro-divergent-experienced and friendly clinician and welcome individuals who identify with autism and other neuro-divergence. In addition to clinical work, I love teaching and working in post-secondary education, where I grow daily through my connections with students, colleagues and our community.
Nature is my happy place—I love walking, hiking, and kayaking. Reading is my escape, and learning new things keeps me inspired. When not doing these things, I enjoy time with family and friends and being goofy with my dog and cat.
