Emma Vester

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

As your therapist, I will guide you through your own journey with your mental health. I hope to improve your quality of life, better your relationship with yourself, and be there for you when you need me. I focus on managing stress, reducing symptoms of anxiety, regulating your nervous system, increasing your self-awareness, processing trauma and trauma related disorders (PTSD), emotional pain, and working through shame and self-criticism. Everyone is
unique, and I will draw from a variety of modalities when developing a treatment plan, as well as shaping each session to your goals and needs. It is my goal to provide a collaborative and non-judgmental space to work towards your goals
and gain a stronger sense of coping. I want you to feel seen, for who you really are, and display that in the way I provide therapy.
In line with my clinical interests, I am also dedicated to research which heavily involves understanding and exploring treatment options for Public Safety Personnel and Military/Veterans, Moral Injury, and Gender Differences in treatment. This helps me stay updated with current information and approaches, and reminds me that I help other people grow best when I continue to find ways to grow myself.
On a personal note, I love food, entertaining and enjoy spending time with my loved ones. I love long walks with friends or a good podcast. Or, in the summer, you can find me by the water. I also love sunshine, a good cup of coffee, and am an active participant in self-care practices.
