OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

I am a Registered Occupational Therapist with experience supporting clients in various settings. My expertise is in applying Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and supporting clients who experience a wide range of difficulties. I encourage a focus on utilizing skills in the moment to cope and overcome barriers while also maintaining engagement in activities that are meaningful to one's self. In collaborating with clients on accomplishing their goals I also try to embody the saying 'practice what you preach.' I try to use skills and maintain engagement in my meaningful occupations. I hope in working together we can create a true collaborative client-therapist relationship in identifying goals and continuing the steps towards coping and recovery.

Although I was born in Scarborough and raised in Whitby, I completed my formal education at The University of Western Ontario. While living in London for seven years I received a Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy and an Undergraduate Degree in Kinesiology. In addition to being an Associate here, I'm also employed by Ontario Shores Center for Mental Health Sciences.

On a personal level, I like volleyball, walking and hiking, and enjoying music.
